《Unmoved》(29 1/2 x 39 1/2 in)

“Three elements here: the little girl, the rock and the walls all are symbolic. It's not meant to be a real scene, it's meant to show us something as a symbol. This little girl is unmoved - sitting on top of a rock that is in itself unmoved. The walls are around her surrounding her. And there anything but unmoved, they're moving all the time and we sense that. But the brushstrokes and the colors surrounding this girl tell another story. 

There's a whirlwind of emotion and activity going on in this painting. And this chaos all around and threat from below. But this little girl remains unmoved. Where does she get the strength? She's such a fragile, little girl. Where does she get the strength to do this? I'll leave it up to you to figure it out.”
